Clean-up case study Clean-up case study
Our twitter friend Xavier has committed to cleaning up his desktop, and you can see the challenge he faces with these screenshots (more available on flickr):

look at all these bookmarks!

what is all this crap?
To clean it up, he’s using some of the original Spring Cleaning 2.0 Week strategies, and added some of his own, such as downsizing/organizing his Facebook and consolidating his feed reader.
At mid-week, he’s posted an update, and he’s still at Inbox 0 (down from 1000!) and making a lot of progress in other areas, including that crazy browser toolbar.
Have any advice for Xavier? Share it here or on his blog. Have some of the same problems? Tell us about it!

- Choose one browser and customize it
- Create a homepage, such as iGoogle or MyYahoo
- Find a bookmarking tool (such as Del.icio.us or Evernote) and use it religiously
- Make this commitment: If I open a new tab, I will act on it immediately. Complete it, read it, or bookmark it for later.
